💆🏽 Massage Techniques
We use gentle, effective Swedish massage techniques combined with postpartum-specific bodywork rooted in traditional care practices. This approach focuses on promoting relaxation, encouraging lymphatic flow, easing muscle tension, and supporting your body’s healing.🤱🏽 Comfortable Positioning
We understand that lying on your belly may not be possible or comfortable — especially after a cesarean birth or while breastfeeding. You’ll remain on your side and back throughout the session, with plenty of pillows and adjustments to ensure you're cozy, supported, and relaxed (many clients even sneak in a nap!).🛏️ Massage on Your Bed
Your massage will be performed directly on your bed for maximum comfort and ease. We do not travel with massage tables to prioritize the well-being of our therapists and avoid unnecessary heavy lifting.
If you prefer a massage on a table, we invite you to book an in-office postpartum massage.Do We Travel to Your Area?

New Parent Swedish Massage
ONLY AVAILABLE IN OFFICE
Step away from daily demands and enjoy a deeply relaxing, full-body Swedish massage designed specifically to support new parents and anyone in need of restorative care.
Swedish massage is a classic, time-honored technique that uses soft tissue manipulation to release tension, encourage circulation, and bring a sense of grounded relaxation. Your therapist will personalize the session to your body’s unique needs, ensuring you leave feeling renewed and cared for.
What’s Included:
💆🏽 Swedish Massage Techniques: Your session blends the four core techniques of Swedish massage—effleurage, petrissage, kneading, and tapotement—to gently soothe muscles, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. These techniques improve circulation, release tension, and support overall well-being.
🕯️ Targeted Care for New Parents: We understand how the body responds to life with a new baby. Constantly looking down, nursing, holding, lifting, and adjusting to your baby’s needs places extra strain on your neck, shoulders, upper back, and arms. With this knowledge, we intentionally focus on those areas most affected—giving special attention to the muscles that carry the weight of parenthood.
🛋️ Personalized Experience: Each massage is tailored to where you are in your parenthood journey. Whether you're navigating life after birth, supporting a partner, or simply seeking a moment to reconnect with your body, this massage is here for you.
Recommended For:
✨ Parents who are 12+months postpartum ✨ Birth partners
✨ Anyone seeking a restorative relaxation massage
Your body is deserving of self-care, rest, and intentional relaxation.
Give yourself permission to recharge with a full-body Swedish massage crafted just for you.

Bone Closing
Celebrate the completion of your Fourth Trimester in warmth, care, and tradition.
Our Bone Closing Bodywork is not a ceremony—it’s a celebration. It is a way to honor your postpartum journey, mark the transition out of the fourth trimester, and provide intentional, gentle care to help your body feel supported, contained, and whole.
This in-home service lasts anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, tailored to your needs and pace. Two experienced birth and body workers will come to your home, bringing all the supplies needed to create a nurturing experience. Together, we will provide:
Traditional Postpartum Drink: A warming, nourishing beverage prepared onsite to support circulation and inner warmth.
Birth Story Processing: Space to share, process, and reflect on your birth experience without judgment.
Herbal Body Bath: We will prepare an herbal bath with provided ingredients (or yours, if you prefer), inviting relaxation and warmth. There is no time limit—you soak as long as you wish, and we will gently check in.
Rebozo Bodywork: A grounding massage using traditional rebozos to relax muscles and encourage alignment.
Full Body Swaddling & Bone Closing: Using multiple rebozos, your body is gently wrapped and tightened from head to toe, giving a deep sense of containment, closure, and recalibration. You are welcome to stay swaddled for as long as you like, and we release you only when you’re ready.
Belly Binding: We conclude with a belly bind to further support your core and womb space.
This service is family-friendly—you’re welcome to invite anyone you'd like to witness or support your experience. Babies, partners, or loved ones can be present throughout.
Everything is done at your pace and is always gentle, supportive, and non-painful. We’re here to hold space for you as you close one chapter and step into the next.

Why In-Home Postpartum Care Matters
At Oxomohco Birth & Body Work, we believe that postpartum care should meet you right where you are—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Offering in-home care is an essential part of how we honor that belief.
Here’s why it’s so important to us:
🌿 Making Parenting Easier for You
The early days of parenting come with countless new responsibilities. By bringing care directly to your home, we help lighten the load—no need to pack up, coordinate childcare, or navigate traffic. You can focus on bonding with your baby while we focus on supporting you.
🌿 Rooted in Cultural Traditions
In many traditional cultures, including our Mexican heritage, the postpartum period is recognized as sacred. Mothers and birthing people are cared for at home, surrounded by family and community, nourished and nurtured so they can fully heal. We honor these traditions by bringing this care into your personal space, where you feel safe, grounded, and supported.
🌿 Prioritizing Your Well-Being & Healing
Postpartum recovery is a deeply individual journey. Whether you’ve had a smooth birth or faced challenges, we believe your well-being deserves the highest level of attention. In-home care allows us to personalize our services—whether it's massage, doula support, or practical assistance—so your healing feels seamless and centered around you.
